Christianity Shouldn’t Be An Advertising Agency

Romans 6:23

Yes, Christianity shouldn’t be an advertising agency, but a lot of times this is the very thing it reminds me of. Advertising agencies make sure people hear only what they would love to hear. They make sure people see only what people would love to see. Ads never point out negative sides of the product. They bring out only bright and beautiful sides.

Christianity shouldn’t be an advertising agency where what people would love is written with biggest letters and the most important information is written with the smallest letters. True Christians shouldn’t be afraid to shout out the truth from the roof tops, because this is what truth deserves – to be known and never  ashamed of.

… Because I Love You!

Some time ago, for no particular reason this short phrase came into my mind, “… because I love You!” At that moment I was thinking of God.

I wish to do many things for my Savior but have pure love as my biggest and the only motivation. Sadly though, in the deepest corners of my heart, there were times when I would find wrong reasons for my good deeds. There were times when that pushing power was pride, or selfrighteousness, or man-pleasing. This fact made me angry because I hated it as I kept finding myself unchanged.

In my sober mind I have made a solid decision that whatever I do from now on will be “because I love Him!” So, now whenever I preach, sing, work, or write, I do it because I love Him! I put all my deeds before this phrase “… because I love You!” This  puts everything to its place and uncovers the truth about my actions. More

Do you represent yourself as a believer and the follower of Jesus Christ?

Then consider, what does it mean for you to be the follower of Christ?

2000 years ago, Jesus called each of His followers to take the yoke and carry the burden that He Himself was carrying. He said that His yoke is easy, and the burden is light (Mt11:30).

Desert Is My Home!

This message is for all Christ followers with a burden from above to change this world down side up.

After studying the lives of some of the most influential characters of the bible and Christianity; Moses, Apostle Paul, John the Baptist, Jesus, and more, I found that we are the strongest at our weakest and we are the highest at our lowest. This is when I opened up my heart to except “dessert of my life” as my home.

Jesus – From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Jesus of Nazareth (c 4 BC/BCE – c 30 AD/CE),[1] also known as Jesus Christ, is the central figure of Christianity, and within most Christian denominations he is venerated as the Son of God and as God incarnate. Christians also view him as the Messiah foretold in the Old Testament; however, Judaism rejects these claims. Islam considers Jesus a prophet and also the Messiah[4], while several other religions revere him in some way.

The principal sources of information regarding Jesus’ life and teachings are the four canonical gospels, especially the Synoptic Gospels,[5][6] though some scholars argue that other texts (such as the Gospel of Thomas) are as relevant as the canonical gospels to the historical Jesus.[7] Most critical scholars in the fields of history and biblical studies believe that some parts of the New Testament are useful for reconstructing Jesus’ life,[8][9][10][11] agreeing that he was a Jew who was regarded as a teacher and healer. They also generally accept that he was baptized by John the Baptist, and was crucified in Jerusalem on the orders of the Roman Prefect of Judaea, Pontius Pilate, on the charge of sedition against the Roman Empire.[12][13] Aside from these few conclusions, academic studies remain inconclusive about the chronology, the central message of Jesus’ preaching, his social class, cultural environment, and religious orientation.[14] Scholars offer competing descriptions of Jesus as the awaited Messiah,[15] as a self-described Messiah, as the leader of an apocalyptic movement, as an itinerant sage, as a charismatic healer, and as the founder of an independent religious movement.

Christianity? What is it? What is Christianity not?

Ever wondered what is Christianity? Here are some ideas from scripture.

Christianity is not just something we do, but something Jesus did for us.
Romans 5:8 “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

Christianity is not intended to make us better people; Jesus makes us new people.
2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

Christianity is not just pie in the sky when you die, it is the kingdom of heaven in our hearts.
Luke 17:21 “Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.”

Christianity is not a Sunday affair. Its a daily love affair with Jesus.
Matthew 22:37 “Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.”

Christianity is not a heavy burden, Jesus’ burden is light.
Jesus said in: Matthew 11:29-30 “Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

Christianity is not just a way of life to be practised – it is a gift of life to be nurtured.
Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” More

Oppose The ‘Hate Crimes’ Bill

A vote is looming this week in Congress on a bill that one conservative activist warns would not only silence Christian opposition to homosexuality, but also would legitimize deviant forms of “sexual orientation.”

A markup vote is expected Wednesday in the House Judiciary Committee on the Local Law Enforcement and Hate Crimes Prevention Act of 2009. House Democrats only have to give 24 hours’ notice before the vote. The measure (H.R. 1913) sponsored by Representatives John Conyers (D-Michigan) and Mark Kirk (R-Illinois) would add homosexuals and transgender people to the list of classes federally protected from so-called “hate crimes.”

Please, call 1-202-224-3121 to oppose this ‘hate crime’ bill.
It is time to sound the alarm.

All the evil of this world prevails because of a silent agreement of the majority, you can change that!

Be The Resistance!

Jesus taught to love our enemies, yet He spoke of the one that can never be loved. Otherwise, he should be hated, fought, and destroyed. This is our enemy – Satan/devil/sin/flesh.

Psa 139:21  Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee? I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies.

Just like king David hated God’s enemies in physical world, we should be filled with the same hatred for His enemies in a spiritual world. This is the only way a Christ follower can be sure that he will never desert his Savior. If only all Christians would have the same feelings for sin, like David had it for God’s enemies, we would truly be victorious and undefeated. We would be the real church of Christ that gates of hell could never prevail.

If You Had Ever Felt Down…

I never knew that I could do that until I tried and did it.
It’s interesting how even small poems can transfer the feeling and emotions. So here is a little one from me.
If you had ever felt down, you must know that it is not over yet. Just have to be strong and break through, and keep the light in your life, so all people may see and know that there is only One that gives life. Christ only.

For days are going by non stop,
I only breath sometimes through gap.
How long can I be standing that,
And carry light when all seem dead?

There’s something deep inside – I know;
A living purpose in my soul.
I can’t give up – I must move on
Despite the fact that all may gone.

False Messengers

Today, many people call themselves Christians, even if they aren’t necessarily trying to follow everything Jesus commanded. As Christians, we are all messengers/witnesses that fall into one of the two categories – false or true messenger.

Acts 1:8 “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere.”

So many people say that Christians are the people that are full of pride, selfishness, and greed. I especially made sure of that after doing interviews  of random people on the streets for ‘A Voice’. So many people have a wrong view of Christianity just because someone called himself a Christian and was a false messenger. Not necessarily by words, but by actions he had redefined the true meaning of this word for someone. Imagine if John the Baptist didn’t explain God to people correctly or if Apostle Poul misunderstood Him, just like church during Dark Era…

This is why for us, Christians, it is crucial to be and example of real Christianity that is filled with love, compassion, joy, generosity, etc.

The biggest misrepresentation of Jesus Christ was made by Christians themselves, those Christians that never knew Christ personally.

John 14:9  “Jesus replied, “Have I been with you all this time, Philip, and yet you still don’t know who I am?”
