Do We Really Need Him?

All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all. Isaiah 53:6

More than anything we will ever need on this earth, we need Him. We need His grace and mercy, We need His love. The reason is that there does not exist a sinless person in this world. We have all, at some time or another, fallen into the trap of coming short of God’s desire. However, when we humbly state that we need Him, do we really know what we are saying? We are declaring that we needed Christ to suffer; we needed Him to be beaten; we needed Him to dangle upon the cross at Calvary. We needed Him to die. Not only did we need Him to die for us, but God the Father needed Christ to die in order to redeem us from our sins. In fact, the scripture tells us that “it pleased the Lord to bruise him” (Isaiah 53:10)

The wrath of God toward us was satisfied when Jesus Christ died on the cross for us. Therefore, we no longer have need to fear His wrath. We have been brought into fellowship with out Father, God, through Jesus Christ.

Is this sacrifice not worth an offering up of our lives to Him?
